Modern British Restaurant and wine bar in the Andaz hotel in the City which also has a ‘floating’ Cocktail in the centre of the main restaurnt. The dining room is set in an ornate Grade II listed ballroom and there is a cheese and wine table which seats up to 12.

Teague’s food is good although, like Paula Abdul, it’s a little small and overwrought. Some dishes are actively brilliant: hen pheasant, for instance, braised slowly in cider, with an utterly splendid, buttery pithivier of the pheasant’s leg. I love my blood red, almost high grouse (from Yorkshire) with its wintry accompaniments of juniper-scented cabbage and butternut…
