Grain Store Kings Cross restaurant reviews

We wrote about Bruno Loubet’s new King’s Cross opening Grain Store two weeks ago and suggested to get you table booking in “if you want to beat the restaurant critics to it”.

Well if you haven’t, then your chances just got a bit slimmer. From Giles Coren to Lisa Markwell and Guy Dimond, the critics have put Grain Store to the test and found it to be – to quote The Independent – “a new vegetable Nirvana”. We count 6/6 YAY reviews.

Pollen Street Social’s Jason Atherton is preparing two new restaurants. Little Social will open on 18 March opposite his existing premises and will be brasserie cooking in an informal setting. The booking lines have just opened; try 020 7870 3730. Shortly after, the Social Eating House will welcome guests in Soho’s Poland Street, and offers a restaurant and two bars. Booking details are yet to be confirmed.

In anticipation, Holly has searched the best available tables at the flagship restaurant, Pollen Street Social. Reservations are hard to come by, so be quick.

Pop-up restaurant, residence at a Spitalfields pub, crowd-funded expansion to turn stunning Shoreditch Town Hall into a restaurant: If there ever was a quintessential East London ‘hipster’ restaurant story, it must be The Clove Club.

The cooking at predecessor Upstairs at the Ten Bells has received accolades, and expectations for the second venture were high. The first review is in, calling it “cuisine de blogeur”.
