Simon Rogan’s hotly anticipated new restaurant at the Claridge’s is now open and taking reservations. Fera at Claridge’s will serve all-British produce from Rogan’s farm in Cumbria.
Fera comes from Latin for ‘wild’ and to complement the fresh and natural food, the glamorous dining room is designed by Guy Oliver in muted earthy colours.

When Chiltern Street Hotel opened early this year, it had all the right ingredients: location (in a beautiful old fire station in Marylebone), pedigree (hotelier Andre Balazs’ portfolio includes US hotels The Mercer, The Standard and Chateau Marmont) and – most intriguingly, in Chiltern Firehouse a restaurant for which chef Nuno Mendes was willing to leave his celebrated East London restaurant Viajante.

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants academy (whose view on London restaurants our Verdict takes into account) has published the 2014 list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Nahm in Bangkok takes the crown this year – and quite a few Londoners may have sampled chef David Thompson’s food when he ran a now-closed outpost of Nahm at the Halkin Hotel in Belgravia.

Soho has a new venue for Peruvian cuisine. “Japanese inspired Nikkei cuisine” to be precise – the mix of traditional Peruvian cuisine with Japanese influences that has developed in Peru over a long time.
