Shard restaurants

[Editor's Note: Ting Restaurant and Ting Lounge in the Shangri-La Hotel on level 35 of the Shard are now available for booking]

A while back, we told you about the dining options we expect in the Shard. Much has happened since then so it’s time for an update:

Oblix Restaurant is now open. Oblix is situated on level 32 of the tower and Rainer Becker (of Zuma and Roka) was inspired by the upscale grill restaurants of New York in both decor and menu. Bookings are now taken on 020 7268 6700.

Hutong, a contemporary Northern Chinese restaurant will occupy level 33 and is scheduled to open on 26 June. The restaurant will be run by the Aqua Group and take its inspiration from the Hong Kong restaurant of the same name. Reservation lines are now open onĀ 020 7478 0540.

On level 31, modern British restaurant Aqua Shard is now open as well and taking bookings. The venue features three-storey high bar to take in the spectacular views before or after dinner.

The opening of the Shangri-La however, was postponed from June to September, as a spokesman confirmed to Caterer News. As revealed previously, the hotel will offer additional dining options, including the Shard 35 Restaurant and the Gong Bar on level 52.
