Chotto Matte Soho restaurant reviews

Soho has a new venue for Peruvian cuisine. “Japanese inspired Nikkei cuisine” to be precise – the mix of traditional Peruvian cuisine with Japanese influences that has developed in Peru over a long time.

At Chotto Matte, this means dishes like avocado tempura with smoked purple potato or grilled baby chicken with spicy pomegranate salsa. Set over 3 floors on Soho’s Frith Street, the restaurant also features a robata grill and a sushi bar.

The team behind the new concept includes restaurateur Kurt Zdesar (who previously launched dim sum chain Ping Pong), and executive chef Jordan Sclare.

Chotto Matte opened on 18 September. Visit our Chotto Matte profile page to book your table online and read all the expert reviews as soon as they come in.
